Hanging at Dan's shop, and brought up a pair of posters. One is a thank you to him, the other is some cool vintage stuff that his brother sent my way... newspaper clippings of Dan's band, pictures of him and his twin brother playing music as kids, etc.

I hope it's not against the rules to cross-post my RBV post in the FS forum... If the delivery method is local pickup I can definitely come down on the price. I bought this bass from Dan Basica early this year, and I just didn't cotton to the whole Fender thing yet again even though it is so clearly a great bass. I also just bought another bass from him so I need to liquidate some funds and take care of other expenses.

Hey 5sg, it was good to meet you at the shop yesterday. Sad about Dan but im glad i had a chance to meet him as well.

Dan has been an amazing guy to know and I too will absolutely miss the store and getting to see what projects Dan's been working on.

I went in the other day and picked up the Black and Silver project 2x12 that he had been using as his "coffee table." I think it's got a blown speaker, it plays fine and sounds great for about 10 minutes and then it becomes a spastic fuzz box. Should be a fun cab once I get it up and running!

Hah! I left one box of 6L6s there and took the rest over the weekend.

There's also a nice Jazz bass copy. Very light and resonant and flat fingerboard, just like I like it. Sadly, I'm not in a position to buy a new bass.
