Shameless Gig Plug :)

From the concert announcement from singer/songwriter Ken Masarie:

My next show is quickly approaching! On Friday, March 14, 2014, I will
perform at Boulder's Shine Restaurant and Gathering Place. Shine is
located just off the Pearl Street Mall at 2027 13th Street;
http://www.shineboulder.com/. The venue holds about 100. Tickets are $10
at the door only. Music begins at 7:30pm. I spoke with a woman last
night who recently played Shine. "Oh you'll love it Ken, the sound
system is awesome." That's what we want to hear!

I am thrilled to be joined by Lafayette bassist Woody Green. And there
is even a rumor going around that Coupe Studio Producer John McVey may
show up for a few songs. It's going to be a good night.

Have a great time! It is going to be a good night. I've known the triplets who run Shine since they opened Trilogy, which was next door. They run a tight ship and the food is stellar as well.

I wish I could make it, but I'll be in Crested Butte that night. And you've got Mike Gordon down the block at the Boulder Theater. It's a busy night in Colorado!

*waves*

Another Coloradan adding themselves to the list. If #90 is still available I would like that one.

I don't have/play in a band yet waiting to get a short scale bass sometime soon so I'm hoping that will change since this full scale is holding me back a bit from learning more songs.

Hope you all are doing well :)

Ah, shine must be in the space where Redfish once was. That is a good stage and sound system indeed. We used to play Redfish often.

That is indeed the place, but the stage and sound have been updated since the Redfish days. The food, of course, remains great!

If anyone feels like venturing out, I'll be playing with my Grateful Dead cover band at Mishawaka tomorrow (Saturday night). Drop a PM and I'll put you on the list. All the caveats, etc, that you might assume with such a venture apply.

I'm thinking Modulus->F2B->IPR 3000->fEARful instead of the usual Alembified Starfire->Showman->Sunn 200S. Time for a change.

some more gigspam! My band is playing the Root 40 Music Fest again this year. Saturday April 26th. I'm pretty sure it's free. We'll be at the outdoor stage by Argonaut on Colfax, around 2 in the afternoon.

They're also having a facebook contest to play at the Fillmore. I'd love the support if you could give The Outfit a vote here: https://www.facebook.com/root40musi...5&brandloc=DISABLE&app_data=chk-533a2775a17ea
