Hi Everyone,
I am looking for Bass Tech/Luthier in the Denver Area that I can have look at some of my basses. I have 2 F Basses that I am having a hard time dialing Necks in on. I have had them in Colorado for a few years so they should be settled in. My regular tech I have been using for years is having a hard time with some current issues. Looking for recommendation on someone trustworthy and experienced with high end Basses and Dual-Action Truss Rods.

Not in Denver, per se, but Mike at Woodsongs Lutherie in Boulder has worked on my Alembics, Alembicized Starfire, and Modulus basses. He is well acquainted with dual action truss rods. Really, any of them there could do the job, but I've worked mostly with Mike and Matt. The only downside right now is that they are super busy, but that's where I go if I want something done right.
If I can't do it myself, the only guy I take my basses to is Mark Tenorio at TenorioWerx. Super cool dude, and amazing at what he does. He helped me with my Stambaugh that picked up this ding at her very first gig... He got it all fixed up beautifully, now that huge hole just looks like part of the woodgrain.

I second what @fivestringgecko said, Tenorio Werx all the way! Got a couple F Basses too, haven't personally had issues with the Colorado climate on them myself. But I guarantee Tenorio can diagnose and fix your issue.
Brian @ Del Toro guitars has worked on 5 or 6 basses for me. He does really good work, and is around alameda and 25.
Brian is good if you need more detailed work for sure.

I ended up taking my basses to Mark at Tenorio Werx off Broadway and I25. So happy I did. Mark is awesome to work with. He spent alot of time with me to understand what issues I was having and watched me play to understand my playing style and setup needs. He did a great job setting my basses up and turnaround time was good, 1-2 weeks. Very happy with the results and I highly recommend him for those in the Denver area. Thanks for the recommendations.

I apologize if this has been covered earlier in this thread but looking to get general opinions on gigging in and around Denver. Family and I are thinking of moving out that way from South east Florida. There's a lot work here and pay is about as good as you can expect for regular gigging but I've lived here nearly my whole life, I'm pretty over it. Still trying to research neighborhood areas out there. I have a few friends out there and one of which I think gigs in Denver. I'm supposed to chat with him tomorrow but wanted to see if any of you folks had some insight. Appreciate any input!
Lots of Cover, Tribute, and Original bands and a couple dozen good clubs to play in (Denver Metro) and probably 1/2 again that many in both Fort Collins and Colorado Springs. Good work and pay for wedding/convention/private affairs.
A lot of mediocre bands willing to play for cheap or for exposure (free) that drives down the market pay of better bands (doesn't seem to affect top tier groups)
Tough to get started without some established members who have the contacts and reputation but if a new band sticks to it and plays what the crowd wants and not want the band wants (or thinks the crowd wants) they can usually get a foot in the door and start to get established.
Couple of good agents in town if that is the route you want to go but as expected, they will book their established bands before they pay attention to you.
Probably the same thing you would hear if you were moving to Florida from Colorado and asked the same question.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, that all sounds familiar and expected. I have two buddies that play there a bit and they said similar. Mostly it takes time getting into the scene and known before the more frequent and better work comes your way. Going to take a trip out there this fall /winter and hopefully poke my head around some spots just to get a little taste of the vibe. And particular spots you recommend to see good working bands?
