Well, I have a dilemma on my hands. I'm in a lot of pain due to what I think is a hernia that just appeared last Saturday. I'm in so much pain that I called off work today, and I never call off of work. I've had perfect attendance for the last 8 years. I'm going to the doctor's office at 9 this morning. I'm hoping that I can get some medicine in me to make it through this weekend, since it's going to be a busy one, and then I can worry about surgery next week if that's what they're going to do. Pray for me guys!!!

Good luck. Been there, done that. We're dropping like flies around here.

Thanks guys. I knew I could count on the central Ohians, and one dude from Wheeling. I just got back from the doctor. he said it doesn't look like I'll need surgery yet but just to take it easy, which means that I won't be bringing my rig to the GTG. Sorry Mr. Crawford but I can't afford to get any more surgeries this year. I was already out for 3 months due to wrist surgery. I'll still bring my Valenti though so you can all get a feel for how Nino builds basses. He's the man!

No big deal! But its good to know you took me into concern! ;)

After I splurge on my long awaited next bass, I plan to most likely:
Sell my Avatar, I know, I know, quality products, but I just feel I could get a lot of amp in the Classifieds.
Buy a whole new rig in the Classifieds, most likely Aguilar as I have always been a fan.

But as most of you guys know, I change my mind daily, so I wont get my hopes up. :D

But Capn, just bring yourself if you want. No need for you to strain yourself. We wont abuse you that bad for not bringing anything..

This wouldn't be in relation to the car accident, would it?

I don't think so. The pain I had from the car accident is pretty much over with other than a little bit of tenseness around the neck area. This just occurred Saturday out of no where. I'm wondering if I had one for a while and didn't notice it. I've had pain in the past but never this intense. I always shrugged it off as a muscle pull and called myself a wuss for thinking twice about it. It sucks because I missed an entire day of work for the first time in years. Time to start another streak tomorrow.

Well, definitely take it easy. Sometimes getting one injury can make others pop up seemingly out of nowhere. Good news about no surgery at this point. Hope it stays that way.

Get better Cap'n.

I'll bring my rig so we have an extra demo rig to use. It's not all that impressive but it serves its purpose just fine.

Ill bring mine too. Its not super, and cant be super cranked as Im still "introducing" my cab.. I take my time with that.

I think I might go with an all Aguilar rig after the GTG.. they sounds sooo smooth.

Hey, is anyone bringing any kind of portable combo amp that would be powerful enough to gig with? I'm thinking about shrinking my rig down to make it more user friendly on the back and such. My stuff is too heavy anymore for me to be hauling around. I'd like to try one out. I'd even be into trading stuff if you wanted. I need at least 500 watts @ 4 ohms.

hmm... a combo rig with that type of power? Maybe a shuttle or a suitcase... I'll have a combo amp there (weighs 66 lbs), but power isn't one of its finer points at 100w. I don't even think I've seen that type of power listed on a combo amp before.

Maybe you could patch into the PA, or use multiple smaller cabs and a single 15 cab running off of your existing head?

If I can make it, I'll be bringing my GB Shuttle 6.0/NEOX112 cab for ya'll to check out.

Destroyed our church with that thing last night.
Man, was I LOUD!!

Cab weighs just over 40 pounds alone, and the head I'm using is around 23 pounds. Removeable casters work great. I haven't even reached 3 (10 o'clock) on the Master Volume yet...
