I have my perfect bass. But there's always that desire to have a custom made just to see how it would turn out. My perfect bass (to me, that is...) is my '65 eb-0 with the 80's era EMG select humbucker in it. Easy to play, can be played with or w/o effects. It's nice and warm, and comfortable. So it's got neckdive... big deal. After 9 hours per day working at wally world, I've got neck dive too.

Also, NJB, I love that metallic Jazz. Seafoam metallic, right? If I had room for another bass, and the cash, I'd grab it up. Good luck selling it. If it doesn't sell by the gtg date, bring it along and try to find a buyer there.

IF I can make it, I'll be bringing the Valenti, an couple of Warwicks- an 88 Streamer NT 4 & 96 Thumb NT 4 as well as my Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0/NEOX112.

I hope I can swing it. I have to do the gtg in one day. I have church stuff in the morning on Saturday, and then church early Sunday morning as well.

We'll see.........

Why would I trade? I dunno. I like T-40's I guess. There was one at Sam Ash a few years ago that I had teh cash to buy but didn't for some reason. Now they're popular (somewhat) on here... back then I'm not sure anyone paid much attention to them. You think I shouldn't trade?

If it were me, I would keep the MIM. I've owned a T-40. Heaviest clunky thing I've ever had. Fatter neck than my 70's Precision. It amazes me that they're popular now.

EDIT: Let me say that the T-40 was given to me, I didn't buy it :)

I think I have decided upon a new bass.. The Marcus Miller Jazz! It may not be the 22+ fret bass I want, but I have always liked it, and Im getting a decent price. Plus, it gives me two incredible jazzes, something I have hoped for for years!

Are you only getting it then because it's natural? Seem like it would be cheaper to buy a natural body jazz body and change your Geddy out. Don't buy something just to be buying something. You may be sorry you didn't save a bit more and get the used Sadowsky. :p

Thats not it at all. I love it because its natural, and blocked, but thats not the only reason. I wanted a Sadowsky to have those few frets to play Tal's stuff.

Plus, I just can justify a Sad right now.. Im happy with my Fenders, and Im sure one day I will have a Sadowsky, but for now, Fender is my brand and I have full confidence in it.

Just like I do with Taylormade and golf, and iTunes for Mp3. It just fits!

But thanks for the worry Eagle. :) I know you guys are just watching out for me.

Plus, the Marcus Miller Jazz Im looking at has an Aguilar preamp, Nordy pups, and an awesome pickguard.. I dig it.

Uh huh. :D

I'd like it if it didn't have that humongous pickguard. I'm not a fan of these basses, but that certainly doesn't mean you wouldn't like it. Fender has put out some awesome basses the last couple of years.

See, I love the big pickguard.. you girls, and your small pickguards.. :D

What makes you not a fan Eagle?

I don't care for how they feel or sound. I'm not a fan of Marcus Miller at all, so that may be part of it. All that slapping gets on my nerves. :) But the bass just feels huge to me. I've played several of them, and really like the necks, but just don't care for the whole package. That's just my preference though. I'm more of a P bass kind of gal.

And truly, I prefer basses without pickguards if I have a choice. So I'm not sure what that would count as. :D

Well, I have a dilemma on my hands. I'm in a lot of pain due to what I think is a hernia that just appeared last Saturday. I'm in so much pain that I called off work today, and I never call off of work. I've had perfect attendance for the last 8 years. I'm going to the doctor's office at 9 this morning. I'm hoping that I can get some medicine in me to make it through this weekend, since it's going to be a busy one, and then I can worry about surgery next week if that's what they're going to do. Pray for me guys!!!

That is terrible news! :(

Got ya covered on the prayers, though.
