Comfortable basses ?

Comfortable basses, that is easy to play ... Ibanez Soundgears an Ergodynes, Warwicks ... what else ... ?? :D
Peace

Hadn't really thought about it but was wondering where you were going with this thread. From these posts you can pretty much see that what one person calls a comfortable bass another person calls a boat anchor.

Unless just a curiosity, you might throw out some parameters.

Ok here some specs :
curved body
lightweight
sleek neck
And now ... please feedback .. :D

I played one of the Ibanez Ergo fivers, and it felt really nice. The curve of the back fit my belly. The curve of the treble-side fit my leg. It balanced well sitting, standing,or strapped. The neck was sleek, with nice spacing at the bridge. All in all I was impressed.

I was still bothered by a plastic body, rather than wood. And while it was comfortable by 'feel', it took some real getting used to for appearance. I had almost talked myself into buying it anyway and only playing it in really dark rooms. Then someone else bought it.

"Playing it in really dark rooms." :D That was a good one! :D

Agreed, they are very comfy. I have a fretless, and I just might buy a fretted one. Tone is way good too.

Dark room.

By curved body I assume you mean more of an ergo style as oppossed to just a contour (ala strat-like).

I also have a LightWave that's swamp ash with maple neck that's 8 lbs or less and well balanced, slim neck, but strat-like in contour.
