Comfortable basses ?

if you want to think Warwick, my vote goes to the Dolphin Pro I. Its shape makes it *feel* a hell of a lot lighter (mine's a 5 and it feels lighter than my thumb 4 fretless did) - the body shape is phenomenal on ergonomics, even sitting down! I like the shape of warwick necks, myself.

One that slipped my mind is the obvious, a Beatle Bass. Has it's limitations but for comfort it's tough to top. The only negative being headstock heavy but it's so light that's irrelevant.

Whether the bass is light or heavy, if the neck dives, I would classify it as very uncomfortable to play. I sold my warwick Thumb for that reason. Being heavy is a disadvantage, but the unrelenting neck dive made that bass intolerable.

Some of the most comfortable basses I've owned are F bass and a Modulus Q5.

Yes, very impressive basses, but 1500 euro it too much for me ... 500 is ok for me. I'm very tight in budget! :o ...
Peace
P.S. Love european made basses ! :D

I don't know how much 500 Euro is but I'm guessing that a good chunk of the basses mentioned thus far are far removed from that, new or used.

The financial limitation really should have been stated from the outset.
