Comfortable Strap

I'm looking for a nice wide strap that will support the weight of my Warwick well. I'm not a fan of the Neoprene straps; they are too bouncy for me. I play with the bass pretty high up and I'm 6'1". I have a leather strap but it's the hard leather that really digs into your shoulder after playing. Any suggestions?

Eagle mountain make quite a wide leather strap and its soft, (I'm not sure if you have this brand there).

I have one and it really helps spread the weight. I'm guessing it would have enough adjustment to have it high. I'm 6.2" and have it on maximum length, which still isnt that low at all, so it must go pretty high.

Basically anything wide should be good!

Had the 3 1/2 inch for a while now. Really great strap. I'm 6'0 so I don't think 1 inch will make that big of a difference.

It sounds pretty nice, I'll have to go measure my current strap length from button to button so I don't buy one that's too long.

How much does your wick weigh? I bought it for my MIM 5 string jazz deluxe which was around the 12 pound mark.

It's right around 10 pounds which really isn't too bad. I can't stand the hard leather strap that I have now though.

Ok then the strap I sent should work great. The part that touches you is a nice smooth soft leather,thats padded,and then where it connects to the bottom strap button is thick sturdy harder leather.

I have a Levy's 2.5 suede that I really like. Soft and wide.

EDIT. Forget I said anything

The description says it's configured to eliminate any bungee effect. But where the buckle connects to the actual padded part of the strap that materially looks like elastic and looks like it'd stretch.

3-1/2" wide slightly padded. The best strap I have ever owned. All our basses have the straplock system so I can use this strap with all of them. Available in any with and length from a store called Dangerous Threads on Ebay. Prices are very reasonable for the quality. This probably will be the last strap I ever own.

+1 on the Comfort Strapp. I've had a lot of wide leather straps, but it doesn't compare to the Comfort Strapps.

Depends on how much you jump up and down Not sure about your bounce criteria, but I never thought of Comfort Strapp that way.

I just picked up a Planet Waves "Padded Comfort Strap" to try. It isn't neoprene and seems fairly comfortable. The strap's minimum length (hole to hole) looks like about 43". They are also not expensive.

I normally use a Comfort Strapp and have never had an issue with bouncing. I did have a problem with the leather end ripping off one though. Thankfully, I caught the bass in time.
