Yes, but in the real, grown-up world that also means people plot your fall because they don't like you. You get a bad rep., you get blacklisted. Like this line from Ziggy Stardust, "So we bitched about his fans and should we crush his sweet hands?"

It usually means "we want you to play with our band exclusively". Which is, of course, pure nonsense. When a band can keep me gigging and making as much money as I think I could/should be making at it, I can commit. In the meantime, I'll play with whomever, wherever, and as often as I please. That "commitment" crap wore thin with me ... 30 years in the corporate jungle, and all it got me was a forced retirement about five years before I wanted to retire. I now do what's right for ME ... it may include you, but maybe not.

it's hard enough to schedule rehearsals around X number of work and life schedules, so no, some folks would not play with you, no matter how good you are because of the potential for you to leave them in the lurch. Double dating can make double trouble for everyone else in both bands. There is no "I" in "team".

Again, no problem. I make my choices, and live with the consequences. Been workin' just fine for me these past 45 years.

Really? Again, anyone who wouldn't play with me because I play with someone else isn't anyone I want to play with anyway. Again, no problem.
