It makes no sense to compound the frets with a straight radius of the fretboard, you end up with uneven fret heights and a dressing problem.
I opt to do the fretboard and level the frets accordingly.

The frets should follow the contour of the fretboard. Over time, wear and additional dressing/leveling could cause problems. If you were to use one radius for the fretboard and compound for the frets and you happen to like a particular fret height, how would you achieve that if the lower frets are higher in the middle than at the edges of the neck?
