Hi,
I am using a Gallien Kreuger 1001RBII head with 2 Neo 2 12 cabinets & Music Man Sterling HS Bass. sounds great. The head has no compressor> I would like to get one. Any suggestions or recommendations?

Yeah I've read that, I know it was replaced by MXR, but MXR is so darn expensive...

Edit: scratch that, I've just cheked the ebay prices and it's actually a bit cheaper in most stores.. Whoa, I wish that was the case here lol..

I've never had an EBS Comp but if its true that they are known to go bad after a while, I would go in another direction...

Personally, I am using the DOD bass compressor right now. it does a GREAT job for what I need it for. It evens out the dynamics of my pick playing. I have it set at some pretty low compression so I stil retain some dynamics.
and they are VERY inexpensive, I got mine for $15! over all a good beginners pedal, I'm looking into getting a cow print DOD milk box soon... (if I can find one)

I've had my Joe Meek FloorQ for about 2 weeks now and the more I tweak it and get to know it the more I love it. I'm not certain what a mid range price is but I paid $130 for mine shipped and it's in like new condition ( It was a demo model for a music store and has absolutely no mars whatsoever ).

edit: I wanted to give a shout out to Bongomanias reviews. It had EVERYTHING to do with my choice as I had two deals brewing. From where I sit his review was spot on.
