Compressor recommendation

I tried SO MANY compressor pedals including the dual band units and they all seemed to suck the life out of my sound, which is typical for a non studio quality compressor. I ended up with the Aphex pedal to do gain riding, which is does very well and transparently, but it cannot be used for "fattening".

I have just bought a Rothwell Love Squeeze, and it is truly incredible ! Is an "always on" effect for me now.

Absolutely silent, with no raising of the noise floor.
If not used with extreme settings, it just does lovely things to my sound, without killing the attack. Small and simple too. Highly recommended.

The Seymour Duncan Doubleback is a sleeper but well worth the money. The variable "foldback" works flawlessly. To the best of my knowledge, Steve / Rocksolid and I are the only two who use them regularly. Prove me wrong....chime in if you have one on your board.

Before my review, the Milkbox went for $20 to $40 on Ebay all the time. Now they're going for $60 to $80! Pretty soon I'll have to take it off the "cheap ones" list. :p

I hear that!

I Teed bidding one two recent ones and the last one sold for over $60. The next one probably will too..

I have noticed that the go for a much better deal on Craigslist! You just have to be searching constantly for new ones cause the go pretty quick :S
