Cone of Sum 41

Ok guys enough of this defending the band crap. Eric made a statement that Cone from Sum 41 wasnt that good (which is infact true) and then andy had to get all pussy hurt about it and complain that we shouldn't make fun of other bassist or we'll goto time out. Well look Andy im sure Eric isnt the only bassist who rags on other crappier bassist out there. I do it, im sure you do it to unless you listen to a cd and say "Although he hit all the wrong notes and cant keep a beat if his life depended on it, He was good in his own respect". So anyway the point of this topic is to not get all pussy hurt over other peoples comments and fight it like it was WW2.

You mean like when the American's lied to the German's about "NOT" sending artillery to England aboard Lusitania, after the German's sunk the ship during WW2? Therefore giving them an excuse to go against the German's for "wrongly" sinking the passanger ship? Or how the American governent is using the weapons issue to totally wipe out Iraq so they can extract the oil :eek:. Please stop making excuses for your raged thoughts, and those of others.

I thought the point of the Talkbass Forums was to have liberated, yet respectful discussion about all things Bass. Guess i was wrong:confused:.

Yeah i have always thought i was in the wrong era of music! I would have done so much better if i played in the 60s with a band like janis joplin,crosby stills and nash or the 70s with zepplin,rush,pink floyd or the 80s with bands like duran duran! But nop i am stuck here in this crap era of music! hehehe

But yeah on the good note there r some bands out there that r trying to brieng it back! Dave mathews band, phish! Lets hope they win!

Hey what ever! The Nazi needed what they got! They were killing alot of inocent people for no good reason! And so does iraq! But i dont want to get war going in this discusion! If we do it will be closed down for sure and it should be! This is a room were we discus music and bands! I have just givin my opinion about a band. I never said i was correct. I dont dislike anyone here for giving there opinion of my opinion but lets not bring war into this because then we might not like each other anymore! I know you was making a point but lets keep it to music. But lets get to your point! You make it sound like i am trying to make my opinion the rules or somthing. Well i am not i just gave my opinion of sum 41. I am sorry if you guys dont like my opinion but hey! You make it sound that i am trying to trick people into what to listen to. Thats is stupied! I am more than sure i like bands that several of you would think i was a idiot for liking! Thats cool because i would probably agree with you. I wouldnt get mad! Me and the guys here that didnt agree on sum 41 r talking in other discussins and getting along just fine! So for now on maybe dont smoke so much grass before posting!heheheh:p

I said Germans. I don't know how any educated person could mistake that for Nazi's, since there is a huge difference. After this I'm not going to respond to any stupid, uneducated posts. Oh, and for the record - I didn't bring up the war issue. It wasn't me who said we should all fight like it was WW2. Now i'm just going to leave this thread alone, forever.

I didnt say that either I said lets not Fight over this topic as if it were WW2, not lets fight like it was WW2. And I agree, lets drop this subject.

What huh? I actually took war history in colledge.4 damn years of it! But it was cool! When you metioned the germans in wwII that is what they called the army we were against the most! There was also the german army but they did what the nazi told them to do. So actually a educated eprson did respond to it!

Actually, the Lusitania was sunk in World War 1, not 2. But that's not the point of this thread. Anyway, I agree with eric on this matter, more or less. I think its pretty unfair that bands like Sum41 are infinitely more popular than people who have dedicated untold hours to practice, lessons, theory classes, etc.
