Connecting 2 Peavey TKO115 amps?

I just cannot see any sort of ext. speaker output on any of these. Do you see a page in the manuals that show what you are talking about? I only see pre-in, power-out, and headphones... Are you certain you have a ext. speaker jack?

On the model I actually have(1993)...No, I found that manual while my amp was still at my practice space and couldn’t use it for reference. Now I’m trying to work out, based on the amplifier in the combo, what my options are to either run an additional combo via preamp out to the padded input as MNAirHead suggested, or if I can run just an additional speaker cab in to the combo.

With two of those combos, you can simply stack one on top of the other, plug your bass into the first one (top one probably), and take another cable and plug it into the padded input of the first combo and the other end into the input of the second combo.

The two inputs are parallel in this combo, as they are in most amplifiers, so there's a built in splitter.

I know this is not "optimal" (yes, there is the "pad" resistor in series), but it's simple, cheap, and it will work.

How about using the effects send/return jacks? Plug your bass into amp A, run a cord from the send jack of amp A to the return jack of amp B, bypassing amp B's eq. Then amp A's volume controls both. Or just run to amp B's input, as suggested, and eq each to your liking. Or is that what is meant by preamp out to the padded input?

regardless if you use an ABY switchbox or patch them together with other methods metioned you will gain 3db in volume.

As and example if you have a speaker powered with 200w
and you set another speaker next to it with the same power.
You gain 3 db. It takes about 10db to sound twice as loud.

One thing you need to remember or learn. All you'll get is 3db. It takes 10db to be twice as loud.I ran the exact setup,same amps.You can get the same volume for half the amp settings.Better on the amps

I most likely will end up getting an aby box and doing just this if it becomes necessary. I have heard/read on TB about this head being underrated the power side and may not even need to run both. in any circumstance, you all have been very helpful educating me, and pointing me in the right direction to educate myself. I have been reliant on the same combo amp since 1994, I've had it as long as I've played bass, and I never had any issue with cutting through the mix because I always played small venues or mic'd to the PA. Necessity led to further my learning.

I BDDI into an ABY box to the following:

Peavey BASIC 112 w/Mesa-Eminence 4ohm Neo bass speaker, 70watts stacked atop a stock
Peavey BASIC 112 stacked atop a custom-made LOPO cab w/10" Eminence 8ohm Neo bass speaker for another 70watts for a combined 140watts - this is my rig I keep set up in my band-room
