Connecting amp head to computer?

I will be getting GK MB800 head very soon and that should have unbalanced out or FX signal send which might work. So no biggie.

Since we have this going, any chance I could use headphones out into the USB interface? Cant image which cable i'd need for that .

The headphone out will work, just use a 1/4 stereo cable, and get a 1/4 stereo to 1/4 mono adapter for the interface.

You need some type of interface. For my own studio gear which I use for demos i hook a mic cable from my pre amp to the mic input on my line 6 pod hd. The pod connects to my laptop with a USB cable.

Got GK MB800 head just recently, and solved my problem by connecting FX Send - > into my USB interface. I think its a line level and works like a charm for me.

The only thing i don't have control over Master Volume on the head no more, the Gain still drives the pre-amp dirtier, which is really all i need is software.
