At rehearsal last night I thought I may have fried my Sans Amp DI. One of the guitarist's started unplugging things he shouldn't (typical) and at once I lost audio. My standard worship set up is bass to tuner (powered by One-shot) jumped to Bass Driver DI, 1/4" to SVT III input, XLR out of DI to board (many extensions). I use my amp & a 110 EA as a monitor for myself and the drummer. I first thought a phantom power issue from the board caused the damage (maybe?) No pilot light no signal from DI. Ended up by-passing everything and miking the cab for the remainder of practice. Came home and hooked up everything in my lttle studio and found that my multi-connector jumper was toast and my DI was fine. While trying to trouble-shoot at rehearsal it seems that the XLR line from my DI to an extension was toast also. Can anyone explain what could have happened? Or had this occur to them.
