Converting Long Scale to Short

Is it possible without running into intonation issues? What I mean is, can you replace a regular Fender style bolt on neck with a shorter one to create a 30" scale bass without having to move the bridge, etc.? I would consider doing this with my Squier P-bass Special if it is as simple as bolting a shorter neck on it.

Also, do you guys know any places that sell short scale necks?

no, you'll have to relocate the bridge, unless you route the neck pocket way further closer to it (which, IMO, would be a very bad thing to do).

IMO, you made the best decision.
