I'm looking to convert the control scheme on my Schecter Diamond-P Custom 4 -- It's a passive bass with a P-bass pickup and a humbucker which can be coil-split via push-pull master tone. I use all 5 pickup configurations regularly. In its current vol-vol state, the P volume is 250k and the humbucker volume is 500K, both linear taper. To switch it up, I would use an M/N blend pot, but what resistance should I make the volume? Should I go in the middle and get a 300K pot, or maybe go 250K volume and 500K tone, or vice versa? Are there any weird workarounds for this sort of thing?
