I believe that's a Silvertone guitar. I agree. Six-in-line just doesn't "look right" on that IMO.

Too short for a bass, and a Dano/Silvertone amp-in-case was never offered for bass. That speaker would not have handled it.

Leonard Stadler (maker of Marlen Guitars) is between two icons of the steel guitar, Speedy West, and my teacher, Jerry Byrd on his 7str Ric Bakelite which you've heard on Hank's I'm So Lonely I Could Cry and endless other top Country hits from another time. too bad that Ric bass isn't better framed!
