Cool rock n roll photos

What red blooded American (straight) guy wouldn't enjoy spending some time with Joan Baez and Emmylou Harris? 1976, 1986, 2000, 2023, yep, still smokin' hot.
lol I know blue blooded English gay icon Elton John does as well after seeing a great '73 gig at LA's Shrine Aud. where Emmylou and her Hot Band opened for Barnstorm and he jammed the encore with Joe Walsh and then had them all open for him during his historic mega '75 concerts at Dodger Stm. Joan wasn't part of it but shoulda been!

When I look at these pictures all these years later, the high heels look even funnier on men than they do on women.
Those are stack heels, not high heels. I’ll rock these on occasion whenever appropriate…

Because, like jean jackets and black leather, classics remain classics, in spite of temporary trends.

Sorry, while I repect her career, I was not much of a Joan fan, nor did she do much for me otherwise. Plus, I can’t deal with Capricorn chicks, man.

I met Owen Biddle once. Purchased his Sadowsky around '04-'05 ish. I had no idea who I was meeting and it was prior to his joining The Roots. Super nice and humble guy.

those shoe styles were perfect, what wasn't were cuff lengths, an inch longer and they're cool, only a few att made the simple connection. by the time that happened straight and pegs were usurped by flared pipes which soon hit heel level as bell bottoms took over and Beatle boots faded out. The Beach Boys made a career out of highwaters and Brian Epstein cemented it with the famed suits, it took too long for pants fashion to correct itself, but the Cuban and undershot heels were one of the best things for looks in the '60s and still are. by '67 there were superior designs that looked more awesome, it was mainstream, Hardy's, Flagg Bros. and Thom McCann were nailing it.

Credit must be given to two different Byrds; David Crosby for discovering her, and tipping off Gram Parsons, who took her under his wing and gave her a chance…

I don't know about the quality now, but back in the late '60s, they were about $10 a pair (not cheap), but had soles that were like cardboard. I never had a pair that lasted more than a week or two before I wore a large hole under the balls of my feet. [No jokes, please. ;)]
