I saw the original Stranglers line-up in ‘81, talked to Dave Greenfield for a while at a party afterwards, very approachable and open; about ten years ago, there was an interesting tour where Blondie drummer Clem Burke and a bass player named Steve Fishman backed up a set by Cornwell, and then a set by Glen Matlock(on guitar). Didn’t get to talk to Hugh, but chatted with Glen a bit.
