Is this the actual Funk Machine or is it a reasonable facsimile? From what I know, it was stolen from his home in L.A. and never recovered. Has that changed within the last few years? Please enlighten me.

Slackers. They left off Jorma and Jack, still recording and touring.
That's a slightly dated list; she turns 80 in less than a month. To be fair, she was a bit older than the usual CBGB's hanger-outers, but not necessarily by much. Her first recording, with hippie folk-rock band Wind In The Willows, came out in 1968.

I had a pair of encounters with him, basically 10 years apart, and in the exact same spot…first time was when he was in Jan Hammer's post-Mahavishnu fusion band(pre-Miami Vice), and he was hanging out in front of the theater where they had just headlined. I asked him about playing fretless, his amp rig, and working with Jeff Beck.
Then, a decade later, give or take a couple of weeks, same venue, he was part of an event featuring Beat-era poets, Ginsberg primarily, but also spoken word from Jello Biafra and then…Fernando, by himself, backing up Marianne Faithfull. Such an amazing and unique performance; on one tune he did play guitar, but otherwise it was bass, and only bass. They did a fair amount of material from the then-recent Strange Weather album, which he had played on.
After that show, I walk out of the lobby, and bam, there he was, on the sidewalk, same spot. I was blown away at the serendipity. I went up to him and complimented him on his work, not only that night, but all his albums with Lou Reed that had been released in the interim. I mentioned that I had finally tackled fretless, and that he, along with Mick Karn, had been an inspiration.

Garbage was on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night, too bad you guys missed it...
I didn't miss anything…this was three weeks ago in Pasadena…
After all these years, it was the first time I ever caught up with them, but they were part of a large festival.

You'll probably never see Stephen Stills and Mike Campbell sharing the same stage ever again, but they did just that at the Fire Aid Benefit concert in Los Angeles earlier this year. What a show!
My two favorites guitar players of all-time. Mark - #1 and David - #2.
