This is about a year old.
That's a slightly dated list; she turns 80 in less than a month. To be fair, she was a bit older than the usual CBGB's hanger-outers, but not necessarily by much. Her first recording, with hippie folk-rock band Wind In The Willows, came out in 1968.Oh my God, Debbie Harry is 78?
I had a pair of encounters with him, basically 10 years apart, and in the exact same spot…first time was when he was in Jan Hammer's post-Mahavishnu fusion band(pre-Miami Vice), and he was hanging out in front of the theater where they had just headlined. I asked him about playing fretless, his amp rig, and working with Jeff Beck.
