Eric Clapton and Howlin' Wolf at Olympic Studios in London - Spring of 1970 the album, released in 1971 was part of a series of 'London Sessions' that paired American Blues Masters with the British musicians who had grown up idolizing them. Unfortunately overlooked band in the Sunshine Pop/Power Pop vein. Their “Time Will Show The Wiser” was covered by the early, pre-Sandy Denny Fairport Convention, then another tune, “Live” was given a go by The Bangles. Main force of the band Emitt Rhodes did two brilliant solo albums in the early 70’s that out-McCartneyed Macca in many respects, but were underpromoted and ignored. He managed a third, even more obscure release before he went under the radar for decades, finally releasing a fourth a few years before his death in 2020.

1966; Linda Keith, model and then-girlfriend of Keith Richards played a pivotal role in discovering the future Jimi Hendrix while in New York for a Stones tour. giving up trying to get Keith interested in promoting Jimi after seeing him as Jimmy James at The Cheetah club she persuaded Chas Chandler, then fading-bassist for The Animals, to visit the Cafe Wha? in Greenwich Village to see him. she had taken one of Richards' Strats and gave it to Jimi who was in need. this girl saw what most missed yet never gets the credit due her.
