Well yeah, you are right and I was generalizing. Actually, rock n roll all started here (down below photo) but in a way, it all started with some primitive Blues song by Lord knows who. Still IMHO, Bill, Scotty and Elvis commercially got it going. But, there are many "kings of rock n roll" with Chuck Berry being my favorite! Triple threat. Singer, guitar player and song writer and one hell of a showman!

Some say Rocker 88 by Jackie Brenston and his Delta Cats (Ike Turner co-writter amd guitarist) was the very first rock n roll song. April 1951.
