The Chapman Stick
Emmett Chapman built his first models in 1969 or thereabouts.
I saw it at the NAMM show in 1975, I think Emmett had brought it the previous year for it's official introduction.
There were people there who could play the hell out of it already in 1975.
It was interesting watching people try it at the show, some got the hang of it pretty quickly.
I know that it has ended up on a number of records that Tony Levin played on, King Crimson, Peter Gabriel, Yes and Pink Floyd to name the well known bands.
