I have no idea who that is. I happened upon that photo and thought it was cool.
That it does! Takes me back to my youth...watching my Dad on the air before I got in the biz in the mid 80s.
I kinda thought it might be Dick Clark

He looks like the kind of guy who shows up at your shop in New Jersey with a couple of guys to collect the envelope, and you'd better have it or else.

Probably how he got the gig. Huey wanted to be sure the band would get paid. Having a guy named Mario looking like that would certainly give club owners pause if they were thinking of stiffing the band.
