Terry Graham, drummer for Gun Club, told me that as a young teen he met hero Buddy Rich and got a chance to ask him about choosing his Slingerland kit. "Eh," said Rich, shrugging off the question, "They give 'em to me for free, Kid."
That anecdote leaves me to wonder whether Buddy Rich was partial inspiration for Krusty the Klown from The Simpsons. I can totally see it - the whole being so outgoing and jovial when entertaining a crowd, but being a total d*ck to individuals.
I know who the guy in the middle is, but who are the other two? Labels are helpful.
