The Whipped Cream Lady who is the model on the memorable LP cover of the 1965 Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass' "Whipped Cream & Other Delights" is 76 now and living in Longview. Dolores Erickson wants to tell all you teen dreamers, "Enjoy the memories."

That...and Herb Alpert made some great sounding records, that one got played in my house growing up a lot.I don't know her name, but I know that she sold a Boatload of records...without ever picking up an instrument.

She was pregnant at the time of the shot, hence the massive amount of Cool Whip. Here's where that boatload ended up

Great sounding records, because the Tijuana Brass was actually the Wrecking Crew on most of their hits.
Most of the white you see in that photo is actually not whipped cream at all.
"The Whipped Cream shoot, both Erickson and Alpert say, was entirely [Peter] Whorf's concept. He shot it himself in his home studio, a converted garage. Erickson, who wore a bikini with the shoulder straps pushed down and hidden, was for the most part surrounded by cotton batting and many cans' worth of shaving cream because actual whipped cream turned runny and smelly under hot lights. The real thing was used only on her head and on the index finger she touched to her lips."

Also too late for Jim Carroll. Your post reminded me that I saw him read at Cafe Largo an unknown amount of year ago.
Perhaps five years before his death in 2009? I recall him reading from a manuscript that was then in the works.
