Wheelin' and dealin' !WOW!!!
How did you manage not to spend all your money on tickets?
Feh…I remember how I had a conniption fit that tix for Springsteen's Born In The USA tour were around $15.00 or something like that. I wasn't even that big of a fan, but it was the big deal event of the period. I saw The Who in 1970 for $3.50. Two years before, they had played at a suburban high school with The Buckinghams. There was a guy I met years later, his dad was the local rep for Decca Records, and so he, as an 8 year old kid, got dragged to the show, but ended up sleeping through the event in the cafeteria kitchen.WOW!!!

Did not know that. That puts the relationship between Kiss and Rush in some perspective, since Geddy's mom is also a survivor, and Simmons is a known Rush fan. At least he showed up on the documentary to talk them up and reminisce about the early days of Rush touring with Kiss.

This is why I love this thread. Seeing pictures of bands I have no clue about, making me go to AllMusic and look them up. Good stuff!
I think you are spot on with thisI can't keep up with this thread anymore, so when I come here I only check the last few pages or so. Anyway, Joan Jett fronted Nirvana at their reunion a few years back and did a great job. In my opinion she'd be a worthy front woman if they ever decided to reform. Her raspy voice fits Nirvana great without trying to sound like a Cobain copycat.

And one more of her without Nirvana (presumably the Black Hearts are behind her). I saw Joan Jett about ten years ago at an outdoor festival and wasn't expecting much, but she is great live and totally changed my mind, she is old school rock and roll when she is on stage.
