I think it’s what Rickenbacker does. That way they can use the same neck through blank. I check, brb.
Edit: thinking back, the bass that Paul has was the first left handed Rickenbacker bass. They do make regular left handed headstocks now.

Our singer/BL is a huge Bonnie Raitt fan and has added several of her songs to our set list since we started back up.
