Don't have any pics but I'm in this video
Names are great if you know the names of the artists/bands, so if I see a pic that intrigues me, I can look up the band/artist.
Even if you don't know the name, it would be helpful to say something like, "i don't know who this is - I just think it's a cool R&R pic."
I don't disagree, however, by not posting a name, or that line, it means the same thing, no?

My old band played at this music fest.
I do, when I know them.
But, it's not going to stop me from posting a cool shot when I don't.

If you like it enough to post it, why wouldn't you want to do the research, if necessary?
Or, as noted earlier, just say you don't know. That's cool too.
