That was a pricey ticket back then. Concerts in Madison, WI at the time were held at the Dane County Colesium and were sold as General Admission, generally for $3.50. Big bands like Yes, the Stones, the Who etc. went for $4. Those were the days. I once spent $500 for a Pink Floyd ticket for The Wall at Soldier Field in Chicago, but they cancelled that show due to the logistics of moving the set and played only New York and L.A. on that tour. Got my $500 refunded. Would have been awesome, though. I think I paid about $10 for a G.A. ticket for the Animals tour stop at County Stadium in Milwaukee. How things changed!

Yep - anyone else hit this one? Five bands, $15 (tax included), 1981.

I was only 10 or so when The Wall came out, but I remember our parents hippy/musician neighbors made the trip to NYC to catch it. A few days later my brother and I were tossing the football in the front yard when Mike and Billy came home, still kind of buzzed from the show. My brother asked them how the concert was when they got out of the car. Mike (who very much himself resembled Frank Zappa) replied "Oh man! They built this great big fu(|/ing wall the whole time they were playing, just to knock it down at the end. We were tripping on angel dust the entire time. It was PHENOMENAL!" Lol
We then heard our dad
"Boys, get in the house."
/saw the 1987 version of PF, and Waters in 2017.
