A tidbit of info that I learned while searching for that is that the first time Klaus ever played bass was with the Beatles in Hamburg, filling in for an absent Stu. Even though Voorman wouldn’t have necessarily known the songs, he had some guitar experience, which put him ahead of Sutcliffe, who was essentially the Sid Vicious of The Beatles.

if you blinked you might have missed one of the most needed reunions in Rock history when a record store owner / fan set up an improbability with remaining Coops cued for a filmed play on a cool makeshift stage without knowing if Alice could or would show up on his day off from touring nearby. he got the word, came by ready to do the tunes in their original keys, and knocked it out of the ballpark as if the many decades hadn't passed. no bombastic staging or the classic rock cacophony they were famous for, just their great songs in raw form with no rehearsal.

after a great daytime band Black Oak Arkansas finished around 4:30 it was way too soon for the Lords of Darkness to trod any stage but without a run thru after 2mos off here Black Sabbath flew in high as kites on coke to kill it with a super strong set for 1/4million of us at the first California Jam.

A.C. has been born-again for a long time, but he still rocks with the best of them. The only place I ever saw him when I lived in Scottsdale was at Malee's Thai Bistro on Main. He and his wife always sat in the second, small dining room (to the right of the entry) instead of the main room that often had a jazz band playing. They were very quiet and kept to themselves.

Sadly, he never invited me to his eponymous celebrity golf outing (me not being a celebrity, and all).
