Shortly before the reunification of Germany on 3 October 1990, now referred to as the Wiedervereinigungstag. I was working in Berlin on 3 October 1993 and got to attend the massive festival at the unveiling of the renovated Brandeburger Tor. Perfect weather. Over 1 million people.
