In this picture taken on April 8, 2021, members of the Indonesian heavy metal band Voice of Baceprot (VOB), guitarist and vocalist Firda Marsya Kurnia (L), drummer Euis Siti Aisah (C) and bassist Widi Rahmawati (R) take part in a practice session in Jakarta. - Indonesia's hijab-wearing, headbanging Voice of Baceprot count some of rock music's biggest stars among their fans, but the all-female heavy metal band faced a tougher battle in winning over their parents.

Nice find! You never know with music videos, but this live show is very good. Includes a really fun cover of Enter Sandman. Impressive!

Here's one for you...The Limiñanas, a French band with a Spanish name. Check out the drummer in the live set, a walking, talking 808!That's cool! Nice playing and professional. I was just impressed that they were even ALLOWED to play music, much less be on camera. I like finding groups from other countries and listening to their take on R&R. I say, Go Girls!![]()
I got to see Larry Graham (Graham Central Station) in '76 when he opened for Jethro Tull (his first tour as a solo artist, IIRC). Here's the album that tour was promoting. They had the coolest stage intro. The lights in the Dane County Coliseum went down, and some hand percussion sounds started emanating from the back of the hall. The band danced their way through the standing crowd (festival seating; no chairs on the main floor) and up on to the stage. I had no idea who he was at the time. Blew me away, he did. Bought the album the next morning. Been a fan ever since! Anybody recognize the bass in that little photo of his father in the liner notes?Larry Graham on a Vox.View attachment 4957391
I dunno, that looks like Grace to me, plus Signe left the band in Oct., '66. Also…that tunic shirt Marty is wearing, those didn't really come into vogue until sometime in '67, when flower power fashion was in full swing. That look really hadn't happened quite yet before the Summer of Love, the hip standard was still kind of mod related…Jefferson Airplane with Signe @ the Panhandle in San Francisco 1967
