Didn't EVERYONE in the United States have one of these in the back yard between 1960 and 1975?

Not my family. My dad used to tell us to go my school (which was 3 blocks away) if we wanted to swing.

Regarding the cemented legs. It's funny you should mention that. I only knew one family that actually did that. Only because mommy got on daddy about it. Other dads didn't want it permanently moored because it would be inconvenient when mowing the grass. Plus 1960-1975 was the age where parents just told their kids to be careful when doing things. Heck, getting that swing set to lift off its legs was great fun!
