This is the Merv Griffin show, And the national TV debut for Kiss, and Gene and Totie stayed in touch until her passing. Totie pegged Gene as "a nice Jewish boy under all that makeup" Gene was born in Israel no less.
Yes, in the family of Hungarian immigrants. According to his memoir he spoke English, Hungarian, Yiddish and Hebrew. And let me tell you Hungarian is no joke.

The Phoenix show of their 30th Anniversary Tour was outstanding. I was sitting 6 rows back from Chick. Stanley's AUB and EB solo, had to have been 10 minutes at least, was stupendous. Di Meolo was as boring as ever.

In this instance I wonder if the bass face is more an expression of "Why do I have to play this piece of crap?"

I played with a guitar player who raved about Greg Lake. I was bemused at first; guitar players don't rave about bass players! Perspective is all. To the guitar player GL was only a guitar player. To me he was a bass player, and singer.
He was actually a lot more that all of those things. RIP Greg.
