Coolest effects combos

What is your favorite effect combo? I've been screwing around with my stuff lately, and my fav so far is overdrive + delay, fret tapping with a wah pedal. gives a primusy kinda vibe like on the new album. thats also turning on basically everything i got

Well, fuzz into phaser is a classic combo, also fuzz into envelope filter. For solo wankery, I like a sub-octave (e.g. DOD Meatbox) into a big reverb, with the clean uneffected bass on top in the mix.

Distortion and Fuzz run parallel into delay. Wah used in front of the distortions for extra accents.

BassBalls + Ebow...

i can drone like a digiradoo by bouncing the ebow off of the strings... sounds pretty neat

env. filter > Whammy IV (-1 oct, rock with rhythm)

Ebow > Whammy IV (harmony +/- oct) > dist. > phase > flange > delay

GR-20 in parallel with env. filter > Whammy IV > dist. > phase > flange > delay

And everything leads into a loop station, of course.

Octave Fuzz -> Tube Fuzz -> w/ or w/o a Slow Phaser, all blended w/ the direct bass signal (just a little)

Big Muff -> Phase 90

or

Big Muff -> Q-Tron

Possibly follow on with a DD-3 for delay and then into RC20XL

- Boss OC2 and Boss TW1 in parallel (when I play my 6 strings basses in the high register). No clean bass sound.

- distortion (Mxr D+) into delay (450 or 500 ms - Roland RSP550) ; all in parallel with clean bass sound.

- when slapping: Sansamp BDDI with internal tone controls working only on wet signal (set blend all wet) and in parallel with clean bass sound.

- Roland RSP550: the first of two Leslie patches.Add an external pitch shifter and sounds great.

- a new (for me) experiment : compressed sound in parallel with clean sound.
