hey pacman listen i know we've had our fights and all and so you probably know how short of a temper i have when i get put down and sorry i have been rude since i've been here but if you read my signature it says basically that what i play is right so when someone tells me i'm wrong i get mad so i'm really sorry to everyone. and lets see oh um when i said the thing about if you havent learned bass and it's been a year... well i didnt mean it to come out like that what i meant was basically i was there to help so sorry for the misinterpretation. and finally tone listen sorry for goin off on you like i said short temper and if you get on my bad side i write before thinkin....bye the way what does wastebladder mean......and pacman "dig" is a song by mudvayne they're a new speed metal group like slipknot if you're familiar with them. oh and tones remember don't tell me i'm doin sumthin wrong it really offends me and yes i do know what i'm talkin bout when it comes to slappin but i don't know if you're just familiar with the double hand slap e mail me if you'd like to know but you probably do and yes i know that most people look for the fingerstyle and technique in a bassist but you know we all have our own styles but i see where you're comin from i know all that stuff to. and i wrote the stuff out in tabs so it was easier for a younger bassist to read but don't think i cant read music cause i can.....i'm not dumb. but anyway sorry if i said anything to offend others and let me know if i was rude to you and i swear you'll get an sorry letter.....except for you STINGRAY5 we really need to talk.....but anyway remember don't get on my bad side and it's all cool....thanks and rock on.

Correct Slap bass

The reference that young bass players cannot read music it totally irroneous. I'm here to say that young bass players who are really serious about bass (myself) can read music. And i hate trying to read tabbed music. I don't know how people actually know the rhythm and timing of the piece when it is tabbed. Even sight reading music is easier than trying to work out tab which is usually innacurate anyway.

hey jeezus stop apologising, man.. it just irked me that, with 16 posts to your name you come into the forum typing out advice that is not particularly clear nor beneficial. at talkbass, i've come to realise that you have to gain a certain amount of respect and longevity _before_ you go handing out words of wisdom - if only for the fact that you won't be taken seriously if you don't. pacman is a tremendous bass player and if i was to be asking anyone here how to slap, i'd be asking him. if you doubt this, visit his site and listen to how he blisters the pocket 
likewise, jazzbo and JasonOldstead have a reputation for being exceptionally good with the theory side of things.
and like i said before, there are 4 (count 'em!), 4 pros on the site to be hassled and queried as we see fit. but that's not to stop you from posting your "enlightenment", buddy - although as you stand right now, it'll probably fall on deaf ears (eyes??).
and stop telling us how incredibly detrimental it would be if we got on your bad side. you don't know the definition of "humiliation" if you haven't seen the more verbally-skilled-than-i members of talkbass go into a frenzy on some little smartarse making the wrong quips. tongues of f*cking fire, man

What is meant by the descriptive, WASTEBLADDER? Ah, there's the question of the day. Well, to be honest, only *NoTeS* can answer that one with any real authority, but I can venture a guess: Not too long ago, there was a really lame*ssed guy who showed up on the forums and annoyed the hell out of everybody...I think his name was WIMPYGOPHERS or SLIMYGUMBO or something like that. Anyway, my guess is that - god only knows why - you somehow remind him of WIMPYGOPHERS in one way or another....and just between you and me, see, *NoTeS* doesn't spell so good, you dig? So, I think he was caught in the middle of some bizarre Freudian Slip kinda deal, and was subconsciously trying to call you WIMPYGOPHERS, only instead, it came out WASTEBLADDER due to his lack of skill at spelling. I think if you carefully examine his username, you know, the part about the twitchy "shift" finger, you can attribute what you initially took as an intended insult to just plain old sketchy typing skills instead. Hey, why get mad when there's a simpler explanation?

I don't know if I "get along" with *ToNeS* or not - I haven't really thought about it like that.
