I wonder if he was trying to fix neck-dive by drilling-out the headstock. Looks cool because it's so different! One-of-a-kind for sure!

Ooooo I like that. Like a lot. Where from?
The one I found is from 'greasy groove' on reverb. They have a few pickguards with some cool embossed style textures… also some tacky stuffOoooo I like that. Like a lot. Where from?
I saw this:

And wanted one for my olive green jazz, then I saw it was like $300 and I just can't justify that for a PG.
I've been toying with the idea of a wooden guard for that bass as well but haven't seen one that grabs me and says yes definitely for my jazz specifically.
This is a good idea, but if it were mine, I'd take it a bit further and get a "distressed" or "relic'd" Union Jack to better complement the vintage-ness of the body's finish. Something like this is pretty cool...Union Jack?
the one I need!!!! Some cream pu covers and knobs would look great too! Where can i find one just like that?I like tort, but not the fake printed stuff. I want that real translucent tort, the kind you can get in different colors.
Anyway, for your jazz? I vote for cream pearloid

I do have a blue squier ive been considering turning into a fretlessThis is my '90's MIM Jazz. The color is midnight blue, which can look blue or purple, depending on the lighting. It's a neat color. I usually don't name my instruments, but this one's name is "Mr. Chrome".
The mods are chrome Dan Armstrong import lipstick pickups and chrome p-bass style control knobs. I had thought about maybe a white pearloid pickguard, but never got around to it.
I think the chrome goes really well with the dark body. I'm not sure about how it would look with a white/yellow body like the OP's.View attachment 7156762
That's for when they cover the "Doctor Who" theme on their Jazz bass.I keep reading the thread title as: "Cosmic Jazz Mods".
I shot them an email but seems like they wanna make it way more of a hassle than its worth. I asked "which one would fit a 2011 AM STD" and was said I had to send the original one in and so on and so forth. I ordered some samples from WD music, one of them being the cream pearlYes, sir! I get my pickguards from PickguardHeaven.com. They have a color called vintage pearl that should get you there.
I hope everything works out for you!

Also Quickguards, although I don't know how much work Mike is actually doing these days: Quick Guards
That's the thing with Fenders… the parts are supposed to be interchangeable, but they never seem to put the screwholes in the same place twice.I shot them an email but seems like they wanna make it way more of a hassle than its worth. Idk ive had pretty good luckThat's the thing with Fenders… the parts are supposed to be interchangeable, but they never seem to put the screwholes in the same place twice.
I will say on some of the more esoteric guitars, people have sent their pickguard in and all of us are benefitting from it. No hassles for my Yamaha BB or my Fender Noventa Tele. Good luck with WD Music!![]()
