Looking for suggestions on direct boxs for bass guitar for live applications. I have used the Countryman direct box in the past and was pleased with it. I am not well informed on the new products that have come out lately. Thank you. Marty

Countryman Direct Box

IMO the Countryman is really tough to beat without making the jump to a Demeter or Avalon or Aguilar DI. And for anything that is a heavy usage piece (such as a club DI) I wouldn't go with anything else, period.

I don't have any dislikes about the Countryman DI, I was really wanting to know by comparision of today's direct boxes if the Countryman is still one of the better boxes. I used one when I was in a band about 15 years ago, now that I am back playing I am looking at acquiring another one. Thank you. Marty
