That Yammy logo is just garish enough to be cool. Forgot to relate one part of my ding story:
The guitarist's girlfriend gave me a plastic diamond ring she'd had since childhood, her "engagement ring" to George Harrison. I pried the plastic diamond out of the tin setting and stuck it in the drumstick tip sized hole with Crazy Glue, managed to make it look much worse with bits of fingertip skin, hair, etc. clustered around a flaky hole. The Crazy Glue made the " diamond" go all milky. Sweet! It's probably still in there, under the Yow trophy plate. If anybody out there has this, I want my bass back!

I already have one of those and it's really interesting.

For this bass, I really just want the P pickup. The MM was sort of tempting but only if covering the hole would put the MM in the stingray sweet spot and it wouldn't (though it would be close to the bridge spot on an HH type). I don't have any basses with a MM pickup.

I already have bolt on and neck through PJ and I have bolt on P ... but this would be my only neck through P so my preference would be to have it just a P.

Actually, that idea doesn't completely suck.

A plate around the bridge (Traben or Ibanez ATK style) would solve the problem and be something different.

My main stage 66 Thunderbird II had a Bill Lawrence hacked into the bridge position. I yanked it and covered it with a plastic plate. In your case I would leave the J pickup or cover it with a plate.
