1970 Cover Eleanor Rigby - ZOOT An Adelaide 4 piece band with Rick Springfield (Guitar), Daryl Cotton (Vocals), Beeb Birtles (Bass), Rick Brewer (Drums). Ignore the idiot who uploaded the clip on YouTube who said "better than Beatles version"..i find that statement ignorant. The Beatles were The Beatles. This Zoot version however is quite good. Enjoy.

song is sort of in 2 parts...long intro piano solo with some great band dynamics.....the jazzier and vocal "song" section kicks in around 3:10

plus the great Allen Toussaint conducting the band

Ha - I was just listening to this song in my car yesterday. That whole album is fantastic. Hugh is not a great singer, but his voice fits the songs.
