Kate Davis takes this song and runs with it. Can't stand the original
Zeppelin's The Battle Evermore performed by Heart.
The 23 minute live version of Get Ready is awesome. I sometimes listen to it in the car on the way to the gym and it psyche’s me right up.Brother Louie by Stories is better than the Hot Chocolate version, Rare Earth's rendition of Get Ready is better than The Miracle's, and who could forget Klaus Nomi's approach to Falling In Love Again? Take THAT, Marlene Dietrich!![]()
"Back Door Man" by The Doors is probably the definitive version.
This one blew my mind when I first heard it. His voice is amazing.
Yeah, I like Disturbed and I think 'ol David is very talented but that song seems a little windbagish to meHmm...just goes to show how tastes differ.
When I heard Disturbed covering S&G, I was apprehensive -- and by the chorus, I had walked across the room to change the radio station.
Covers that redefined the original?
How about Jeff Buckley's version of "Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen, and the Cowboy Junkies' version of "Sweet Jane" by The Velvet Underground?
