Am I the only one who actually liked the Sid Vicous cover of "I Did It My Way." My friends used to groan and of course that made me turn it up louder.

I like it.

It reminds me of childhood and the outlawed tape of sex pistols that me and my brother had. It was probably the 100th copy recorded with two tape decks using a mono mic (as in, it was 100 copies removed from original and all of them were recorded using 2 tape decks and bunch of people sitting in a room quietly. ).

I am pretty sure you could go to jail for it at one point.

I am prolly THE BIGGEST Beatles fan there is, but you hafta check out Dug Pinnick and King's X version of "Here comes the sun". Styx's "I am the Walrus" is pretty cool as well. Ricky Phillips is a way cool cat.

I like the vocal much better in the Atlanta Rhythm Section better. The bass line is more interesting IMHO and the guitar work is cleaner.

Or I guess could just have bad taste

Awful as that disc was, Metallica was just covering Lizzy. Lizzy were the ones who ruined the irish folk song.

For the record I generally really like Thin Lizzy.

Do you realize that "Spooky" was originally an instrumental song performed by saxophonist Mike Sharpe (Shapiro). The Classics IV guitarist James Cobb and producer Buddy Buie added lyrics and recorded it. James Cobb (along with Classic IV bandmates Robert Nix and Dean Daughtry) later became part of the Atlanta Rhythm Section and re-recorded "Spooky" in 1979.
