Covers vs. Originals

I would rath play my own stuff, because I love coming up with basslines.

We do both. We record the originals. The covers we do are usually good tunes to jam on. I try to learn the covers as they were but I'm always messing with them. Its fun to see how far we can take it and still play the tune. I think of Jaco Live in NYC or the Dead.
