I question the legitimacy of this entire article. For anyone who has ever been to Sturgis during bike week, you can tell whoever wrote this has no clue what that rally is like or about or how any of it works. I've been there, I've stood in One Eyed Jack's, I've seen the bartenders, I've seen the cover bands. Even the way the "band member" comes across sounds like a joke. This article is a total joke and something I'd expect from The Onion, I'm sticking to my statement that I question the legitimacy of this entire article.

I’ve never had the pleasure but I agree, it does sound suspect.

On the other hand; a bad cover band, in over its head, in the middle of that $hit$how is completely plausible.

Well the writer pays lip-service to the idea of having attempted to call the bar owner - not the only flimsy part of this piece. Dude gets the band's name wrong every time. They're called Carnival of Sin. Singular.

And that's no 25 hour drive from Dayton to SD. Closer to 20 hours. And if it's the faux Tommy Lee driving it'd be like 12.

The bar needs a band. If the bar has a band booked and failed to pay at the end of the engagement I would think the bar owner is a douche. But to cancel booked gigs? That raises a red flag. What did the band do?
