Cracked flat wounds

Had a set of flats on about a week and had my first jam that weekend. The next day I noticed cracks on the bottom of the A string plucking zone (fingers and pick about 50/50). Almost like the windings were separated but only on the bottom. Odd to me, never had this happen in the past. I really can’t get a good pic.
They still sound good and it doesn’t bother me, it’s just new to me. Never used this brand of flats in the past.
Anyone come across this or have any thoughts?

So, which specific brand and model of flats are we talking about here?

Le Bella Low Tension flats 42-100.
I’ve used many other brands of flats in the past and never saw this. I’ve had them come apart but never had the small nicks like this. I’ll try again to get pic.
