Craft beer

The point of craft beer isn't to get drunk, it's to enjoy the flavor and variety.

I hear that, but I don't agree!

Why can't it be both? I mean, sure, when I go to a house party I'm more apt to bring a twelve pack of laker than I am a mixed six pack or a couple of bombers, but why not?

Also, there is no craft beer where I am, most beer here is about %3 abv and comes in bottles around half a litre. It's only slightly more flavourful than any light beer. Sometimes you can find some decent stuff, but you're going to pay for it. Don't even bother with wine either, it's either sickeningly sweet, or a mouthfull of tannins and nothing else.

Craft beer is great for both flavor and ABV the majority of the time. That said, I rarely drink more than 2-3 beers at a time now.

Here in town we have both New Belgium and Odell's brewing, both of them major players in craft beer. On the whole I like the O'Dell's line better, but there are individual beers on the New Belgium side I like.

I'm usually driving, so one pint is pretty much my limit, and I try to stay under 9%. I don't need trouble.

And there are about 20 more craft breweries in Fort Collins, co constant research is required. Research is my life!!

You have to check out Crooked Stave...they are killing it in the sour beer category...also Casey Blending and Brewing is great from out there. I also have a sweet spot for Avery. So much good beer out in CO. Dry Dock too...

My daughters (27 & 28) are sour beer fans, but my wife and I aren't. We're continually adding to the list of places to check out. We're also seeing more hard cider places all the time.

Anything by Dogfish Head, Odell, and Deschutes is a good time. I've never had a bad beer by any of them.
