Crappy Patch Cables

The title says it all. Used a variety of patch cables on my pedalboard the last couple of years and had bad luck with most except D'Addario, Mogami and EBS so far. If anyone has other cables they really like that would be good information as prices all over the map these days so replacing gets expensive. It would be useful to know any to stay away from like livewire, musicians gear, fender or any store brand though YMMV. Sometimes hard to tell after the fact what brand they are, but if there's a good or bad experience we all might benefit.

You might want to have this moved to either “Effects” or “Accessories” for a better response, and also check similar threads there on the subject.

I've had great luck with EBS - some of my cables have been through multiple dozens of board reorganizations over the course of the last several years. I also like the Tour Gear Designs. I see there are some cheap flat patch cables on Amazon now. I'll probably give them a try. I hear the Ernie Ball flat patch are good.

I bought a bunch of Squareplug ends and a length of Mogami cable, but I didn't have a good set of cable/wire strippers and the first one I put together didn't work so I never built them all. I'm building a whole new board soon, so I'll probably take another stab at building those cables again.
